Iniciativa que integra campanha internacional da Cáritas percorreu várias dioceses portuguesas 

A iniciativa Mala da Partilha integra a campanha da Cáritas Internationalis ‘Partilhar a Viagem’ e tinha por objetivo promover a cultura do encontro, tal como tinha sido pedido pelo Papa Francisco.

Foi na diocese do Funchal que a Mala da Partilha terminou a sua viagem. Eugénia Quaresma, diretora da Obra Católica Portuguesa de Migrações, entidade que se associou à campanha, esteve no encerramento e contou à Ecclesia que foram momentos marcantes.

“O objetivo era recolher histórias de vida e em torno da mala promover o encontro. Ali, no Funchal ela cumpriu este objetivo”, conta Eugénia Quaresma.

Tratou-se de uma “mala grande, fora dos parâmetros normais e cheia de autocolantes”, que eram o registo por onde passou: Setúbal, Aveiro, Porto, Bragança-Miranda, Vila Real, Beja e Lisboa, terminando no Funchal.

“Outra curiosidade: o bispo visitou um grupo de motards e foram eles que, de mota, levaram a mala pelas várias paróquias e associações locais que acolhem e ajudam migrantes; foi muito bonito de ver”, contou.

A diretora da Obra Católica Portuguesa de Migrações contou ainda que a Mala integrou uma exposição que esteve num centro comercial da cidade do Funchal, uma iniciativa que “fazia parar muita gente, para ler e ver as fotografias do percurso que a Mala fez”, num local movimentado.

Eugénia Quaresma destaca ainda que “noutras dioceses a Mala era sempre entregue numa eucaristia e ali, no Funchal, aquela exposição promoveu o encontro com aqueles que não vão à Igreja”, referiu.

A Mala da Partilha terminou a sua viagem no Funchal numa celebração ecuménica contando com a presença de vários imigrantes.

Da Mala… Refugiada Síria

Falar de Portugal…

Portugal: é quente, é como estar sentado ao lado da chaminé, embrulhado numa manta fofinha enquanto a tempestade fria (a vida) esta anda lá fora; é como o primeiro gole de um chá quente e meramente segurar na chávena já ajuda os dedos frios a parar de tremer //

os Portugueses: são como um desconhecido idoso que partilha isto tudo contigo; são como um idoso desconhecido que está feliz de ter encontrado alguém com quem pode falar e partilhas as suas experiências e histórias de vida; que fala de maneira clara, alta, com gestos, gritos e risos para fazer entender a sua língua estrangeira e difícil mas expressiva porque ele quer que percebas; são assim os portugueses, acolhendo-te de braços abertos, nunca negando dar ajuda, partilhando o que têm, animando o teu dia com os seus sorrisos ou um simples “bom dia”.

Da Mala… Imigrante Brasileira

Ando às voltas com as malas. As crianças, o mais velho tem 5 anos, a menina 3 e o bebé seis meses, não imaginam o tamanho da mudança que irá ocorrer em nossas vidas. Amanhecemos em Lisboa, há uma azáfama tanto no navio, como no cais.

Impossível descrever a chegada à Guarda, é meia-noite, a temperatura ronda zero graus, encontrámos uma casa quase totalmente vazia, e parece que não somos propriamente bem-vindos, contrariamente a tudo o que havia sido combinado um mês antes no Brasil.

Continua sendo doloroso recordar, a falta de conforto, ter de ir buscar água para tudo. Cinco meses depois, desembarcamos no Porto. Finalmente compramos um estabelecimento e aí iremos viver felizes para sempre… Que pena isso não ser um conto de fadas. Compramos uma adega antiga, na frente do estabelecimento e separada por uma porta a casa, que foi vista à noite e apressadamente. No dia em que nos mudamos, entramos num cenário de horror: são dois quartos sem janelas, um corredor largo onde uma mesa e um aparador simulam uma sala de estar…

Trinta e nove anos depois, aqui estamos. O casamento não resistiu, embora continuemos a ser grandes amigos. Os filhos estão bem, tornei-me a mulher dos sete ofícios”, fiz doces, trabalhei em limpeza, fui promotora, dirigi um departamento musical, durante mais de 20 anos estive ligada à rádio (paixão que ainda mantenho), em 2009 voltei a estudar e acabo de defender a tese, tornando-me me mestre em sociologia. Criei uma associação cultural, continuo sendo movida por causas sociais.

Depois da “entrada em falso” veio a felicidade

Rodolfo Castro é natural da Argentina, percorreu vários países, como o Uruguai ou o México, e chegou a Portugal há nove anos.

“Tinha uns 12 ou 13 anos e a Argentina vivia uma ditadura militar, havia muitas coisas proibidas, como os livros… Um dia pensei: se estão a proibir estes livros é porque tem ali alguma coisa importante e chegou às minhas mãos um livro, ainda embrulhado para que ninguém visse do que se tratava.

Levei-o para casa, sem os meus pais saberem, e aquele livro tinha fotografias de homens e mulheres na rua a festejar a sua liberdade, o livro chamava-se a ‘Revolução dos Cravos’. E pelo ano 77 pensei que queria viver neste país, onde as pessoas festejavam a sua liberdade na rua”, contou este imigrante.

Passados mais de 30 anos, Rodolfo Castro foi a Beja, no âmbito de um festival literário; gostou da cidade e do país e houve pessoas a convidá-lo para ficar. Fez um contacto com a sua companheira, na altura no México, e contou o sucedido.

“Ela perguntou-me: ‘há crianças a brincar na rua?’ E eu tinha visto que sim. E ela disse: ‘então vamos!’”, contou.

Quando chegou, Rodolfo Castro não se sentiu acolhido, veio com uma promessa de um contrato de trabalho.

“Tinha um pré-contrato com uma editora que nunca mais contactou, abandonou-me. Ficámos cá, eu minha companheira e duas filhas, sem conhecer ninguém, nem a língua, sem amigos… foram dois anos de muitas dificuldades para poder arrancar…foi uma entrada em falso! Mas depois através de outros contadores de histórias que me ajudaram e abriram caminho, foi melhorando”, desabafa.

A contar histórias, a escrever e a ilustrar livros, Rodolfo Castro está no nosso país há nove anos, onde se sente que “voltou à vida” e encontrou a felicidade, pelo menos por enquanto.

Da Mala… Imigrante Senegalês

Eu, Jean Simon Mendy. Cheguei a Portugal em outubro de 2017 vindo do Senegal.

Dadas as condições de vida do meu país, vim com o objetivo de melhorar as condições de vida da minha família. 

Porém encontrei algumas dificuldades como é normal, a língua, as condições climáticas, mais frio, uma cultura bem diferente. Mas fui superando, porque o sonho comanda a vida

Como o trabalho é sazonal estive 4 meses sem trabalhar, ainda passei alguma fome.

Depois de estar em Portugal fazia um mês, nasceu a minha filha, que ainda não conheço, o meu sonho é trazer a família para junto de mim. Nós vimos de um povo Africano, que é pobre, mas que sabe sofrer, ter paciência, respeito uns pelos outros.

Aqui em Ferreira do Alentejo é um lugar calmo, desde sempre nos sentimos acolhidos sobretudo em Igreja, no qual nos integramos desde o princípio.

Neste momento o meu sonho é trazer a família, conhecer minha filha, que ainda não conheço. Não sei se voltarei ao meu país, o futuro o dirá, como diz este povo de Portugal.

Partilha por Bragança-Miranda e pela Guarda

A Diocese de Bragança-Miranda tem sido uma comunidade de acolhimento de muitos imigrantes, vindos da Ucrânia, Angola, São Tomé, Moçambique, Serra Leoa e Guiné.

“Aqueles que nos procuram, migrantes e famílias migrantes têm a sempre a nossa resposta”, esclarece Joaquina Santos, vice-presidente da Cáritas diocesana.

A disponibilidade demonstrada é colocada depois na prática, numa terra que “acolhe muito bem as pessoas”, apesar de não ser muito procurada pelos refugiados.

Integrada na campanha ‘Partilha a Viagem’, a Cáritas promoveu um encontro onde a partilha do pão se mostrou um momento especial.

“Reunimos todas as pessoas migrantes e suas famílias e falámos nisso, combinámos uma partilha, que cada um de seu país fabricasse o seu pão e houve um grupo que fez mesmo lá na Cáritas, com as nossas crianças, e fez-se essa partilha”, conta a responsável.

Joaquina Santos relatou à Ecclesia que, no dia combinado, cada um levou o pão do seu país, todos provaram e a partilha foi também de “histórias, vivências de toda uma vida já construída”.

“Deu-nos uma experiência inigualável e partilhámos os afetos, carinho e amor… Cáritas é um serviço de amor, temos de mostrar esse amor, aqui foi este trabalho, esta experiência”, resume.

Da Mala… Família Imigrante Venezuelana

Somos a família Perez Teixeira. Somos da Venezuela onde a situação é conhecida, muito nos angustia e a insegurança foi um dos motivos que pesou para sair do nosso país.

A 17 de setembro de 2018 deixámos muitas coisas e muitas pessoas para trás; nessa viagem vieram os 2 filhos de 6 e 4 anos, a minha mãe de 80 anos, uma prima de 24 anos e eu, Ylisabeth, com 40 anos; o meu marido já estava em Portugal, em Oliveira do Bairro, Aveiro, depois de ter trabalhado nos EUA para ganhar dinheiro para as passagens.

Os meses que passámos sem o meu marido/pai foram duros, o país estava a deteriorar-se, tínhamos problemas com a água, luz, comida, insegurança e problemas económicos também.

Já em Portugal conhecemos muitas pessoas maravilhosas que Deus nos pôs no nosso caminho para nos ajudarem no que fosse preciso. Nós recebemos muita ajuda com comida, roupa, sapatos, jogos, mesas, coisas de cozinha, tanta coisa e estamos muito agradecidos. As crianças começaram a estudar em Portugal e tudo corre bem. Só podemos estar agradecidos, eu e o meu marido Juan por nos ajudarem na nossa história em Portugal, com pessoas trabalhadoras, amáveis e generosas. Assim temos um futuro para os nossos dois filhos e que queremos que se sintam orgulhosos de onde nasceram e, agora, de onde crescem.

Já pela Guarda, foi em 2012 que os primeiros refugiados chegaram à cidade, depois de muitos medos e inseguranças.

“No início parecia um trabalho fácil, mas depois foi um desafio que provocou um receio pelo nosso desconhecimento. Quando a Segurança Social nos procurou, para trabalhar em parceria, houve medo e insegurança, falava-se muito em jihadismo, houve medo”, reconheceu Isabel Rabaça, do Centro Local de Apoio à Integração de Migrantes (CLAIM).

O medo “diluiu-se na primeira leva” de refugiados que acolheram e, atualmente, sentem-nos como pessoas gratas.

“São pessoas como nós, gratas, que aceitam tudo, e os que nos procuram veem em nós uma âncora”, conta a responsável.

Também na Diocese da Guarda aconteceu um encontro especial, com a confeção do pão em fornos comunitários, promovendo a cultura do encontro.

“Convidámos as próprias comunidades migrantes para partilhar como se confeciona o pão em cada país. Tivemos migrantes marroquinos e venezuelanos e constatamos que o pão é diferente em cada país e foi um momento de troca de saberes onde partilhámos as culturas.  Foi um momento de muita alegria, interajudavam-se na confeção do pão e queriam aprender como o outro fazia o pão”, refere Isabel Rabaça.

Da Mala… Imigrante Paquistanês

Cheguei a Portugal, em Vila Real, em 2015 vindo de Inglaterra onde já estava a estudar. Saí do Paquistão em 2011.

O motivo para vir foi concluir os estudos superiores na UTAD por causa dos baixos valores das propinas em relação aos outros países e a qualidade de ensino; As principais dificuldades que encontrei foi a língua portuguesa mas percebi que Portugal e Vila Real são bastante acolhedores e amigáveis com pessoas sempre dispostas a ajudar os imigrantes. Após viver em Vila Real durante algum tempo, entendo que é mesmo lá que quero ficar e viver o resto da vida; casei em 2016 no Paquistão e a minha esposa concordou em fazer a vida em Vila Real; os meus dois filhos nasceram em Vila Real (2017 e 2018); tenho um pequeno negócio em Vila Real e sinto-me feliz e acolhido nesta cidade e neste país.
