Há mais de quatro décadas que as crianças têm um dia especial no santuário de Fátima. A peregrinação das crianças à Cova da Iria é trazer a realidade dos vários cantos do país, olhar Fátima através dos mais pequenos. A Ecclesia foi ouvir as motivações de várias crianças que falam entusiasmadas e levam muitos desejos… são os peregrinos do futuro.

Rute Santos é do departamento da pastoral da mensagem de Fátima e afirmou à Ecclesia que esta é “a segunda ou terceira maior peregrinação ao santuário de Fátima, são cerca de 25 a 30 mil crianças”.

A grande preocupação é a segurança, “para que todos cheguem bem e estejam bem” e por isso o santuário tem várias parcerias que dão uma ajuda como os Bombeiros e a GNR, entre outros.

“Depois temos de proporcionar o contacto com a mensagem de Fátima numa linguagem própria para as crianças e todo o programa é pensado para elas”, explicou. 

“Façam aqui uma capela” é o tema da peregrinação deste ano lembrando o centenário da capelinha e as crianças são desafiadas a perceber que fazem parte da Igreja, por isso houve a preparação das mochilas que vão ser entregues ao Santuário.

“Todos somos Igreja e queremos que as crianças percebam que fazem parte deste pedido que Nossa Senhora do Rosário fez”.

E como qualquer festa infantil também a peregrinação das crianças tem surpresas para os mais novos, em cada ano surge uma lembrança e este ano vai haver novidades mas “só podem ser reveladas no dia 10 de junho”.

Rute Santos referiu ainda que as crianças vêm em autocarros ou de carro, com a catequese ou com as famílias e vêm celebrar “uma mesma fé”.

“O santuário tem esta proposta de acolher todos e pelos mais pequeninos, para o santuário é a presença viva do que se realizou aqui em Fátima”, referiu.

Os que irão a Fátima

João Teles é catequista na paróquia de Mogofores, na diocese de Aveiro e este é o segundo ano que a paróquia leva crianças a esta peregrinação.

“Causou emoção neles, estávamos à espera que se portassem mal mas não, estavam a absorver o que se estava a passar, havia muito interesse em perceber o que era uma peregrinação a Fátima”, contou à Ecclesia em ambiente de catequese.

Numa paróquia em que Maria tem grande importância, fica lá situado o santuário de Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora, o catequista afirmou mesmo que a peregrinação se torna uma marca no ano e “é muito mais do que uma viagem”.

Há cerca de quatro décadas que esta peregrinação das crianças a Fátima acontece. Regina Silva foi enquanto criança, marcava-a a “quantidade de pessoas que encontrava em Fátima” e que “acreditavam no mesmo”. Hoje é catequista na paróquia de Nossa Senhora do Amparo de Benfica, no patriarcado de Lisboa, e volta a peregrinar.

“É por isso que vou como catequista e dou-lhes o meu exemplo, quero que eles possam sentir isto, e o exemplo dos pastorinhos é importante para transmitir estes valores e essas experiências”, diz à Ecclesia a catequista do 4º ano.

Também Joana Ferreira é catequista há 6 anos… Antes de ir dar catequese, num final de tarde, falou à Ecclesia como tem acompanhado as crianças a esta peregrinação que vão em grande entusiasmo…

“A logística e a responsabilidade parece uma loucura mas acaba por correr tudo bem e eles respeitam muito as regras porque percebem a importância do sítio onde estão”, refere a jovem.

São dias em que o convívio entre catequistas e crianças se afirma e os mais novos querem sempre repetir.

“As crianças querem muito ir e os pais têm muito medo… as crianças são fáceis de convencer e percebem que somos uns sortudos de termos Fátima aqui tão perto”, refere Joana Ferreira.

Na paróquia de Santa Maria da Porta, em Melgaço, na diocese de Viana do Castelo, a peregrinação das crianças a Fátima já é uma tradição.

“Fazemos há dez anos, falam sempre se voltamos a ir e é um ponto assente para as crianças da catequese. Não é fácil mobilizar tantas crianças até Fátima, são tantos kms, temos de preparar tudo, desde o alojamento, ao transporte e alimentação, mas fazemos sempre o melhor”, afirma a catequista Amália Domingues.

Uma paróquia tão longe da Cova da Iria que viu aqui uma oportunidade de levar as crianças a Fátima que, como diz a catequista Clara Araújo, “muitos meninos não iriam a Fátima nunca” e ali “não se sentem sozinhos e vêem que são milhares” com a mesma fé.

Já o padre Carlos Martins é o primeiro ano que vai acompanhar as crianças da paróquia a Fátima e sente que “é muito importante esta peregrinação por ser um momento esperado e que eles gostam de viver, celebrar a mesma fé e isso ajuda a crescer na sua fé e na fé comunitária”.

A paróquia da Senhora dos Navegantes, no patriarcado de Lisboa, também peregrina com as crianças até Fátima e a catequista do 4º ano, Carla Lopes, explicou à Ecclesia a importância destes dias.

“Todos fizeram a caminhada de preparação do tema da peregrinação, e até fico triste de não irem todos, e assim os amigos que vão a Fátima levam as suas mochilas, mesmo não indo estarão lá representados”, contou.

A catequista vem sempre com vontade de continuar e é “uma rasteira” esta peregrinação porque, “vale a pena continuar, é uma missão que ali se renova”, disse.
