Cidade do Vaticano, 07 dez 2017 (Ecclesia) \u2013 O Papa Francisco nomeou hoje novos arcebispos para Paris e Cidade do M\u00e9xico, anunciou a sala de imprensa da Santa S\u00e9.<\/p>\n

No caso da capital francesa, a escolha recaiu sobre D. Michel Aupetit, at\u00e9 agora arcebispo de Nanterre, sucedendo ao cardeal Andr\u00e9 Vingt-Trois.<\/p>\n

O novo arcebispo de Paris, de 66 anos, foi m\u00e9dico e especializou-se na \u00e1rea da bio\u00e9tica; foi ordenado padre em 1995, tendo sido p\u00e1roco e vig\u00e1rio-geral na arquidiocese parisiense, antes de ser nomeado bispo auxiliar, em 2013; um ano depois foi escolhido pelo Papa Francisco como arcebispo de Nanterre.<\/p>\n

No M\u00e9xico, o Papa aceitou a ren\u00fancia do cardeal Norberto Rivera Carrera, nomeando como seu sucessor o cardeal Carlos Aguir Retes, arcebispo de Tlalnepantla.<\/p>\n

O novo arcebispo, de 67 anos, foi ordenado padre em 1973 e bispo em 1997, quando chegou \u00e0 Diocese de Texcoco; foi presidente da Confer\u00eancia Episcopal Mexicana e do Conselho Episcopal Latino-americano, tendo sido criado cardeal pelo Papa Francisco em novembro de 2016.<\/p>\n
