\tCidade do Vaticano, 08 ago 2016 (Ecclesia) – A conta do Papa Francisco na rede social 'Instagram' atingiu a marca dos 3 milhões de seguidores, depois de 20 semanas de atividade e 143 postagens, incluindo alguns vídeos.<\/p>\n

\tLançada a 19 de março deste ano, a conta @franciscus<\/a> permite aos interessados acompanharem o dia a dia do Papa argentino, com acesso a fotos dos principais eventos em que participa Francisco, com a colaboração dos  fotógrafos do jornal L’Osservatore Romano.<\/p>\n

\tDe acordo com o serviço informativo do Vaticano, "o momento em que o Papa deu a mão a uma criança, durante uma audiência geral, está entre os posts mais populares".<\/p>\n

\tNa abertura da conta, o então prefeito da Secretaria para a Comunicação, monsenhor Dário Viganò, destacava o projeto como  "um lugar para retratar os gestos de misericórdia que marcam o pontificado de Francisco".<\/p>\n
