Cidade do Vaticano, 13 out 2011 (Ecclesia) – Bento XVI recebeu hoje no Vaticano o presidente das Honduras, Porfirio Lobo Sosa, ao qual destacou a importância de promover a “reconciliação” nesse país da América Central.<\/p>\n
Em comunicado publicado pela sala de imprensa da Santa Sé, Sosa e o Papa apelou à “compreensão mútua, à solidariedade e à paz, na busca tenaz do bem comum”.<\/p>\n
O presidente das Honduras encontrou-se ainda com o cardeal Tarcisio Bertone, secretário de Estado do Vaticano, acompanhado pelo arcebispo Dominique Mamberti, secretário do Vaticano para as relações com os Estados.<\/p>\n
“Durante os colóquios, desenrolados num clima de cordialidade, constatou-se com apreço o grande contributo que a Igreja oferecer ao desenvolvimento do país [Honduras], especialmente nos âmbitos da educação e da saúde”, assinala o comunicado da Santa Sé.<\/p>\n
A nota oficial indica ainda que as partes destacaram a “normalização das relações internacionais”, por parte das Honduras, tendo sido tratados “outros temas relativos à situação mundial”.<\/p>\n
