A partir de hoje, 19 de Outubro, até ao próximo dia 23, realiza-se em Banguecoque, na Tailândia, o primeiro encontro sobre a pastoral da estrada para o continente asiático e a Oceânia.<\/p>\n
Promovido e organizado pelo Conselho Pontifício para os Migrantes e Itinerantes, este encontro continental é o terceiro depois do realizado na América Latina, em Bogotá em 2008, e o de Roma, em 2009.<\/p>\n
A iniciativa conta com a participação de 55 representantes de 18 nações da Ásia e da Oceânia, entre arcebispos, bispos, sacerdotes, religiosos, agentes da pastoral social, representantes de organismos das Conferências Episcopais, das instituições de caridade e religiosas envolvidas.<\/p>\n
Migrações, pobreza, desagregação familiar, doença mental, dependências e, na Ásia e na Oceânia, os desastres naturais como enchentes e ciclones são alguns dos motivos que levam as pessoas a viver na rua.<\/p>\n
