A renúncia quaresmal da Diocese de Lamego, inicialmente destinada para o Haiti, será agora redireccionada para ajudar a Madeira.<\/p>\n
O anúncio foi feito por D. Jacinto Botelho, em carta dirigida ao Bispo do Funchal, D. António Carrilho.<\/p>\n
A missiva assegura que “a Diocese e o Bispo de Lamego acompanham consternados o tremendo cataclismo que essa Igreja irmã está a viver”.<\/p>\n
“Tínhamos decidido enviar para o Haiti o fruto da renúncia quaresmal, mas diante da catástrofe sofrida, embora o nosso quantitativo seja relativamente pequeno, reparti-lo-emos com a Diocese do Funchal, por quem rezamos, sufragando os falecidos e pedindo para quantos foram tragicamente atingidos, moral ou materialmente, uma particular Bênção do Pai do Céu, em ordem a tornar menos duro o sofrimento e mais rápida a recuperação”, escreve D.
