Diocese de Braga conta com novo bispo auxiliar <\/p>\n
A Ordenação Episcopal do Pe. Manuel da Silva Rodrigues Linda está marcada para o dia 20 de Setembro. Nomeado Bispo Auxiliar de Braga por Bento XVI no passado dia 27 de Junho, o novo bispo auxiliar vai ser ordenado na igreja de Nossa Senhora da Conceição, em Vila Real, durante uma celebração com início marcado para as 16h00.<\/p>\n
A informação foi avançada pelo Diário do Minho, confirmada pelo Vigário-Geral da diocese de Vila Real.<\/p>\n
D. Manuel Linda vai suceder a D. Antonino Dias, entretanto nomeado Bispo de Portalegre-Castelo Branco. O futuro bispo é natural de Paus, freguesia do concelho de Resende, distrito de Viseu e diocese de Lamego, e é padre desde 1981.<\/p>\n
Nos últimos anos, exerceu as funções de reitor do Seminário de Vila Real. Estudou na Faculdade de Filosofia de Braga, onde terminou a Licenciatura em Humanidades, e na Faculdade de Teologia do Porto. Também estudou em Roma, especializando-se em Teologia Moral. Em 1998, na Universidade de Comillas (Madrid), recebeu o grau de Doutor.<\/p>\n
Desde 1982 faz parte do Conselho Presbiteral da diocese de Vila Real. Em 2001 foi nomeado Vigário Episcopal para a Cultura e membro do Colégio de Consultores.<\/p>\n
