com uma \u201cenorme generosidade\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cO que \u00e9 de longe mais importante \u00e9 a minha perce\u00e7\u00e3o profunda da enorme generosidade com que sou tratada com este pr\u00e9mio que me \u00e9 atribu\u00eddo\u201d, afirmou Leonor Beleza na sess\u00e3o de entrega do pr\u00e9mio.<\/p>\n<p>O Secretariado Nacional da Pastoral da Cultura, da Confer\u00eancia Episcopal Portuguesa (CEP) distinguiu Maria Leonor Beleza, presidente da Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Champalimaud, com o Pr\u00e9mio \u2018\u00c1rvore da Vida \u2013 Padre Manuel Antunes\u2019, na edi\u00e7\u00e3o de 2023, elogiando o seu \u201ctestemunho convicto de humanismo crist\u00e3o\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOutros olharam para mim e confiaram tr\u00eas \u00e1reas de atua\u00e7\u00e3o, nomeadamente a defesa dos direitos das mulheres, a interven\u00e7\u00e3o na vida pol\u00edtica e a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o em sa\u00fade.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOs direitos das mulheres e a preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o com elas s\u00e3o uma hist\u00f3ria de toda a vida\u201d, afirmou Leonor Beleza, sublinhando que essas quest\u00f5es \u201cformataram\u201d a sua vida e valorizando a possibilidade de ter podido \u201ccolaborar em mudan\u00e7as\u201d legislativas que contribuiram para a \u201cigualdade entre todos\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leonor Beleza recordou o seu percurso na vida pol\u00edtica, desde os in\u00edcios dos anos 80, lembrando que foi a primeira mulher \u00abcom cargos pol\u00edticos designados no feminino\u00bb e disse que a sua interven\u00e7\u00e3o podia ser \u201crepresentativa daquilo que as mulheres poderiam fazer\u201d no \u00e2mbito pol\u00edtico.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A respeito da investiga\u00e7\u00e3o em sa\u00fade, Leonor Beleza lembrou que o \u201cemprego mais duro\u201d que teve na vida, ser ministra da Sa\u00fade, estar\u00e1 na \u201corigem do maior privil\u00e9gio\u201d, ser presidente da Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Champalimaud.<\/p>\n<p>D. Nuno Br\u00e1s, bispo do Funchal e respons\u00e1vel pela Comiss\u00e3o Episcopal da Cultura, Bens Culturais e Comunica\u00e7\u00f5es Sociais, sendo constitu\u00eddo por Guilherme d\u2019Oliveira Martins, Jos\u00e9 Carlos Seabra Pereira, padre Jos\u00e9 Fraz\u00e3o Correia e Maria Teresa Dias Furtado.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Leonor Beleza \u00e9 licenciada em Direito pela Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa, onde foi professora assistente; entre os cargos p\u00fablicos que desempenhou, foi Secret\u00e1ria de Estado da Presid\u00eancia do Conselho de Ministros (1982-1983), secret\u00e1ria de Estado da Seguran\u00e7a Social (1983-1985) e ministra da Sa\u00fade (1985-1990).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Eleita deputada para a Assembleia da Rep\u00fablica em diferentes legislaturas, foi vice-presidente do Parlamento entre 1991-1994 e 2002-2005, e \u00e9 atualmente membro do Conselho de Estado.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Leonor Beleza \u00e9 presidente da Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Champalimaud desde a sua cria\u00e7\u00e3o, em 2004, por determina\u00e7\u00e3o do seu fundador Ant\u00f3nio Champalimaud.<\/p>\n<p>A sess\u00e3o de atribui\u00e7\u00e3o do Pr\u00e9mio \u2018\u00c1rvore da Vida \u2013 Padre Manuel Antunes\u2019 a Leonor Beleza iniciou com uma interven\u00e7\u00e3o de Isabel Al\u00e7ada Cardoso, diretora do Secretariado Nacional da Pastoral da Cultura, seguindo-se um debate entre Isabel Mota e Guilherme d&#8217;Oliveira Martins, moderado por Raquel Abecasis, a interven\u00e7\u00e3o da galardoada, de Jos\u00e9 Carlos Seabra Pereira e, a encerrar a sess\u00e3o, de D.
