Zakhia El-Kassis, Le\u00e3oXIV mostra-se &#8220;profundamente entristecido&#8221; pela &#8220;devastadora perda de vidas decorrente do naufr\u00e1gio&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;O Papa Le\u00e3o XIV recomenda os muitos migrantes que morreram \u00e0 miseric\u00f3rdia de Deus Todo-Poderoso&#8221;, refere a mensagem assinada, pelo cardeal Pietro Parolin, secret\u00e1rio de Estado do Vaticano, que ser\u00e1 encaminhada \u00e0s autoridades competentes.<\/p>\n<p>Le\u00e3o XIV dirige-se ainda aos sobreviventes, equipas de emerg\u00eancia e todas as pessoas atingidas por essa trag\u00e9dia&#8221;, invocando \u201ca for\u00e7a, o conforto e a esperan\u00e7a divinas&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Pelo menos 76 pessoas morreram e dezenas de outras, &#8220;cujo destino permanece desconhecido&#8221;, est\u00e3o desaparecidas ap\u00f3s um barco que transportava um grupo de migrantes ter naufragado no domingo, na costa sul do I\u00e9men, refere a Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Internacional para as Migra\u00e7\u00f5es (OIM).<\/p>\n<p>A institui\u00e7\u00e3o contabilizou 157 pessoas a bordo da embarca\u00e7\u00e3o no momento do acidente, incluindo 32 sobreviventes que foram resgatados.<\/p>\n<p>Em 2024, a OIM
