Antonio Maria Vegli\u00f3, actual secret\u00e1rio da Congrega\u00e7\u00e3o para as Igrejas Orientais. D. Renato Martino permanece na presid\u00eancia do Conselho Pontif\u00edcio da Justi\u00e7a e da Paz. Nomeado por Jo\u00e3o Paulo II, o cardeal Renato Martino foi Observador permanente da Santa S\u00e9 nas Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas em Nova York durante 16 anos e preside, desde 2002, ao Conselho Pontif\u00edcio da Justi\u00e7a e da Paz. Em 2004, seu dicast\u00e9rio publicou o Comp\u00eandio da Doutrina Social da Igreja, documento que oferece aos cat\u00f3licos as indica\u00e7\u00f5es necess\u00e1rias para promover o bem social das pessoas e da sociedade. Em 2006, Bento XVI confiou tamb\u00e9m a D.
