A Confer\u00eancia Episcopal Venezuelana (CEV) reelegeu D. Ubaldo Ram\u00f3n Santana Sequera, arcebispo de Maracaibo, como presidente do organismo para o per\u00edodo de 2009-2012. Tamb\u00e9m foi reeleito, como segundo vice-presidente, D. Roberto L\u00fcckert Le\u00f3n, Arcebispo de Coro. Depois de um per\u00edodo de aus\u00eancia, o antigo presidente da CEV, D. Baltazar Porras Cardoso, Arcebispo de M\u00e9rida, regressa como primeiro vice-presidente. D. Santana Sequera agradeceu aos bispos a confian\u00e7a depositada e disse que a sua primeira responsabilidade ser\u00e1 velar pelo fortalecimento e a unidade interna da CEV, que acaba de cumprir 40 anos.
