Homem do Papa para as quest\u00f5es sociais est\u00e1 em Portugal nos pr\u00f3ximos dias O mundo sofre de uma \u201cdisparidade de situa\u00e7\u00f5es\u201d porque \u201ch\u00e1 gente muito rica e gente muito pobre\u201d \u2013 disse \u00e0 Ag\u00eancia ECCLESIA o Cardeal Renato Martino, presidente dos Conselho Pontif\u00edcio Justi\u00e7a e Paz e do Conselho Pontif\u00edcio para a Pastoral dos Migrantes e Itinerantes, que hoje (11 de Setembro) ir\u00e1 proferir uma confer\u00eancia, em F\u00e1tima, no I Congresso da Pastoral Social. E acrescenta: \u201cIsso \u00e9 uma injusti\u00e7a\u201d. O Cardeal Renato Martino pede aos cat\u00f3licos \u201csejam mais activos na promo\u00e7\u00e3o da Doutrina Social da Igreja\u201d. A op\u00e7\u00e3o preferencial pelos pobres \u201c\u00e9 uma prioridade da Igreja\u201d, mas n\u00e3o quer dizer que \u201cos outros n\u00e3o estejam nas preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es da Igreja\u201d. Aos participantes desta iniciativa promovida pela Comiss\u00e3o Episcopal da Pastoral Social, o cardeal Renato Martino ir\u00e1 \u201cpedir um maior empenhamento dos cat\u00f3licos nesta \u00e1rea\u201d porque \u201cser cat\u00f3lico n\u00e3o quer dizer somente ir \u00e0 Igreja e participar nos actos lit\u00fargicos\u201d. O Cardeal italiano, antigo representante da Santa S\u00e9 na ONU, preside ao encerramento do I Congresso da Pastoral Social, que decorre em F\u00e1tima.
