Bento XVI nomeou um de seus secret\u00e1rios, o monsenhor polaco Mieczyslaw Mokrzycki, como novo bispo auxiliar de L\u2019viv dos Latinos, na Ucr\u00e2nia, segundo informou uma nota do Vaticano. O prelado estava, at\u00e9 o momento, \u201cao servi\u00e7o da secretaria particular do Pont\u00edfice\u201d, destacou a nota. O novo bispo trabalhou na secretaria particular de Jo\u00e3o Paulo II entre 1996 e 2005 e manteve-se no cargo nos dois anos de papado de Bento XVI. O monsenhor Mokrzycki nasceu em 1961, em Majdan, Pol\u00f3nia, e realizou os seus estudos teol\u00f3gicos na Universidade Cat\u00f3lica de Lublin, tendo sido ordenado sacerdote em 1987. A partir de 1991, com a restaura\u00e7\u00e3o da diocese de L\u2019viv dos Latinos, Mokrzycki passou a essa circunscri\u00e7\u00e3o eclesi\u00e1stica. O seu doutoramento em teologia foi feito na Universidade Angelicum de Roma.
