O vice-presidente da Comiss\u00e3o Pontif\u00edcia para a Am\u00e9rica Latina, D. Luis Robles D\u00edaz, morreu repentinamente, aos 69 anos de idade, no passado S\u00e1bado, dia 7 de Abril, segundo informa\u00e7\u00e3o da Secretaria de Estado do Vaticano. D. Robles D\u00edaz, original do M\u00e9xico, Arcebispo de Stefaniaco, foi n\u00fancio apost\u00f3lico em Cuba, por nomea\u00e7\u00e3o do Papa Jo\u00e3o Paulo II, entre 1999 e 2003, e depois escolhido para o cargo de vice-presidente da Comiss\u00e3o Pontif\u00edcia para a Am\u00e9rica Latina. Antes de sua chegada a Cuba, D. Robles D\u00edaz foi pr\u00f3-n\u00fancio noUganda. Ordenado sacerdote em 1963, tornou-se bispo em 1985. A Secretaria de Estado do Vaticano e o presidente da Comiss\u00e3o, o cardeal Giovanni Battista Re, expressaram a sua dor pela morte de D. Robles D\u00edaz.
