A Igreja Particular do Funchal alegra-se com a nomea\u00e7\u00e3o, feita pelo Santo Padre Bento XVI, do Senhor D. Ant\u00f3nio Jos\u00e9 Cavaco Carrilho, para Bispo da Diocese do Funchal, at\u00e9 agora Bispo Auxiliar do Porto. O Povo crist\u00e3o, homens e mulheres de boa vontade desta Diocese, desejam-lhe uma feliz miss\u00e3o pastoral e prometem obedecer-lhe e ajud\u00e1-lo como fi\u00e9is conscientes dos seus compromissos baptismais. Da minha parte alegro-me com a feliz escolha do pastor que vai suceder-me na miss\u00e3o de Bispo do Funchal.
