Bento XVI aceitou a renuncia ao governo pastoral da diocese da Guarda, por motivos de sa\u00fade, apresentada por D. Ant\u00f3nio dos Santos, sucedendo-lhe assim D. Manuel da Rocha Fel\u00edcio at\u00e9 agora Bispo Coadjutor. Nomeado por Jo\u00e3o Paulo II, em Outubro de 2002, Bispo Auxiliar de Lisboa, D, Manuel Fel\u00edcio acompanhou no Patriarcado as Vigararias do Oeste e animou o di\u00e1logo inter-religioso, sendo nomeado a 21 de Dezembro de 2004, Bispo Coadjutor da Diocese da Guarda. Natural de Viseu, onde nasceu em 1947, D. Manuel Fel\u00edcio foi ordenado sacerdote em 1973 e bispo em 15 de Dezembro de 2002. Em Viseu, integrou a equipa sacerdotal da par\u00f3quia de Mangualde (de 1973 a 1988); depois, foi na vida acad\u00e9mica que empenhou grande parte do seu tempo. Na Confer\u00eancia Episcopal Portuguesa, trabalhou no di\u00e1logo ecum\u00e9nico e inter-religioso.
